The Yealink CP965 is a touchscreen conference phone for medium to large meeting rooms, with 12 microphones for voice pickup plus one for noise cancellation and a 360-degree pickup range of up to 20 feet (6 m). It comes in a SIP edition that registers to standard SIP phone systems and a Microsoft Teams edition that runs Teams on the device.

About the Yealink CP965
The CP965 is a flat, Y-shaped unit with microphones in each of its three feet and in the center, under a black fabric that resists water, oil and stains. Yealink rates its best pickup within 13 feet (4 m) and its maximum at 20 feet (6 m). A single Ethernet cable can power it over PoE, or it can connect over dual-band Wi-Fi, and a 5-inch touchscreen runs the meeting.
The two editions share the hardware but not the software. The SIP edition registers one SIP account, handles 10-way conference calls and the usual phone system features, and is the one built to grow: it takes up to two CPW65 DECT wireless expansion microphones, an optional CPN10 for an analog phone line, and up to four CP965s can be linked over the wired network for one large room. You can also pair a mobile phone or computer by Bluetooth or USB-C for a hybrid meeting. The Teams edition runs Microsoft Teams on Android 11, with Teams calling, a Teams interface and one-tap join from the Outlook calendar.
13 microphones
12 microphones pick up voices in a full circle and a 13th is dedicated to cancelling noise.
SIP or Teams
The SIP edition registers to a SIP phone system; the Teams edition is certified for and runs Microsoft Teams.
Wireless expansion microphones
The SIP edition supports up to two CPW65 DECT microphones to reach people at the far end of a long table.
Link up to four units
In the SIP edition, one CP965 can lead three others over a wired network for synchronized pickup and playback in one large room.
Analog line and mobile calls
Add a CPN10 for analog PSTN calls, including a 3-way local conference, or pair a phone or computer by Bluetooth or USB-C.
One cable install
Power over Ethernet, class 4, so a PoE switch port is all the table needs. Wi-Fi is built in as well.
Which CP965 should I buy?
Choose by the system you call through. If your business is on a Telnamix hosted or 3CX phone system, or any other SIP phone system, buy the SIP edition (the CP965 or the CP965 Wireless Mic bundle). Buy the Teams edition only if your company makes its calls in Microsoft Teams. The SIP edition and the Teams edition cost the same at MSRP. The Wireless Mic bundle is the SIP edition sold with wireless expansion microphones for $250 more; our sources do not spell out which microphone kit is in the box, so confirm with us before ordering if that matters for your room.

Questions about the Yealink CP965
- Does the Yealink CP965 work with a Telnamix hosted phone system or 3CX?
- The SIP edition does. It registers a SIP account to a SIP phone system, which is how it works with a Telnamix hosted or 3CX system. The Teams edition is built to run Microsoft Teams on the device, so it is not the one to buy for a Telnamix hosted or 3CX system.
- What is the difference between the CP965 SIP and Teams editions?
- The hardware is the same. The SIP edition registers to a SIP phone system and has features such as 10-way calls, CPW65 expansion microphones, the CPN10 analog adapter and linking up to four units. The Teams edition runs Microsoft Teams on Android 11 with a Teams interface and Outlook calendar join, for companies that call through Teams.
- How large a room can the CP965 cover?
- Yealink aims it at medium to large rooms. Its own microphones reach up to 20 feet (6 m), best within 13 feet (4 m). On the SIP edition you can add up to two CPW65 wireless microphones, or link up to four CP965s over a wired network.
- Can the CP965 make calls on a regular analog phone line?
- Yes, with the optional Yealink CPN10 connected to its USB port. The SIP edition then supports analog PSTN calls, including a 3-way local conference.
- Does it need a power outlet?
- Not if your network switch provides Power over Ethernet (class 4); the included 7.5 m Ethernet cable carries both power and data. Without PoE, use the optional Yealink YLPOE30 PoE adapter.
- What is the warranty?
- Telnamix warranties Yealink hardware for 3 years.
