About the Yealink CPW65

A CP965 on its own covers the people around it. In a long or wide room, the CPW65 microphones go where the other participants sit and send their voices to the CP965 over DECT, so there is no cable across the table. Yealink describes the setup as one CP965 with two CPW65 microphones, which is what the DECT Duo kit contains. Each microphone is a full-duplex input with echo cancellation and its own capacitive mute touchpad.

The microphones wear the same black fabric as the CP965, which resists water, grease and dirt. Both charge on one cradle: set a microphone down in any orientation and it charges. A 1500 mAh battery in each gives up to 13 hours of talk time or 11 days on standby.

  • Made for the CP965

Yealink designed the CPW65 as an audio input for its CP965 conference phone and sells it as a pair.

  • Three mics in each

Each microphone picks up voices in a full circle within a 10-foot (3 m) radius.

  • Up to 20 m from the phone

The DECT link reaches up to 20 meters, enough to cover the far end of a large room.

  • Long battery life

Up to 13 hours of talk time or 11 days of standby from a 1500 mAh battery.

  • Touch to mute

A capacitive touchpad on each microphone mutes it without reaching for the phone.

  • Place-and-charge cradle

Set the microphones on the cradle in any direction and they charge.

Which CPW65 should I buy?

Both kits have the same two microphones and charger cradle. The CPW65 DECT Duo comes with a short 0.3 m Micro USB cable and no power adapter. The CPW65 Package adds a 5V/2A power adapter, a longer 1.8 m USB cable and a Yealink WDD60 USB DECT dongle, for $89 more at MSRP. Our sources do not say which setups need the WDD60 dongle, so ask us which kit fits your CP965 before ordering.

Questions about the Yealink CPW65

Which phones does the CPW65 work with?
The Yealink CP965 conference phone. Yealink's CPW65 materials name no other phone, so do not plan on using it with a different model.
Does the CPW65 work with a Telnamix hosted phone system or 3CX?
The CPW65 does not connect to a phone system itself; it feeds audio to the CP965. When the CP965 is the SIP edition registered to your Telnamix hosted or 3CX system, the CPW65 microphones pick up voices on those calls like the phone's own microphones.
How far from the CP965 can the microphones be?
Up to 20 meters. Each microphone then covers a 10-foot (3 m) radius around itself.
How long does the battery last?
Up to 13 hours of talk time or 11 days on standby. Recharge by setting the microphones on the included cradle.
What is the warranty?
Telnamix warranties Yealink hardware for 3 years.
