The Yealink SkySound CM20 is a round beamforming microphone that mounts on or in the ceiling of a medium or large meeting room, so the table stays clear. Sixteen microphones cover up to 60 m², with the best full-duplex pickup across 30 m², and a built-in DSP lets it plug straight into a Yealink MVC room system with no separate audio processor.

About the Yealink SkySound CM20

A ceiling microphone hears the room from above, leaving the table clear. The CM20 splits the room into 8 pickup zones and outputs 8 beams that follow whoever is talking, and it works with the room cameras to improve camera tracking. Noise, echo and reverberation reduction run on the microphone itself.

Installation takes one Ethernet cable, which carries both power (PoE) and audio. On a Yealink MVC system the CM20 is plug and play, because its own DSP does the audio processing. It also supports AES67 for joining other audio networks. It can be fitted into the ceiling, hung on a pendant, or mounted on the ceiling surface, and the magnetic mesh cover comes off for cleaning.

  • 16 microphones, 8 zones

Sixteen omnidirectional microphones pick up sound in 360° across 8 independent zones.

  • Large coverage

Covers up to 60 m², with high-quality full-duplex pickup across 30 m².

  • Talker and camera tracking

Eight beam outputs follow the person speaking and help room cameras track them.

  • DSP built in

Plug and play with Yealink MVC systems, with no external audio processor needed.

  • One cable

Powered by PoE (IEEE 802.3af, class 3) over a single RJ-45 cable that also carries audio, with AES67 support.

  • Three ways to mount

In the ceiling, on the ceiling, or hanging as a pendant.

Questions about the Yealink SkySound CM20

What systems does the Yealink CM20 work with?
It is built for Yealink MVC meeting room systems, where its built-in DSP makes it plug and play. Yealink lists the 4th-generation MVC series, such as the MVC S50, S80, S90 and S98, and its all-in-one video conferencing devices. Yealink keeps a device compatibility list for the exact pairings.
How big a room does one CM20 cover?
Up to 60 m², with the highest-quality full-duplex pickup across 30 m². Yealink positions it for medium to large rooms.
How is the CM20 powered and connected?
With one Ethernet cable. It runs on standard PoE (IEEE 802.3af, class 3), drawing 5.7 W continuously and 9 W at peak, and the same cable carries its audio.
How is it installed?
It can go into the ceiling, onto the ceiling surface, or hang as a pendant. Mounting hardware for the standard install is in the box. A length-adjustable pole and pendant adapter are optional, and Yealink sells the CM-MountKIT deployment kit for the CM20.
Does the CM20 need a separate DSP?
Not with a Yealink MVC system. Noise, echo and reverberation reduction run on the microphone.
What is the warranty?
Telnamix warranties Yealink hardware for 3 years.
