The Yealink AVBridge is a small network audio box for medium and large meeting rooms. It takes audio and video that travel over the room network, such as Dante ceiling microphones and network cameras, and hands them to the meeting computer or video conferencing system as a USB device. It handles 4 Dante channels in each direction and works with one CM50 or up to four CM20 ceiling microphones.

About the Yealink AVBridge

Ceiling microphones and network speakers send their audio over Ethernet, while the computer that runs the meeting expects a USB microphone, speaker and camera. The AVBridge sits between the two. One Ethernet cable gives it power and network, a USB 3.0 Type-B port connects it to the meeting host, and it converts in both directions so the room equipment shows up on the host as ordinary USB devices. It can also carry camera signals to the host, so cameras do not have to sit next to the computer.

Inside is a basic audio processor: a matrix mixer for routing and parametric EQ for simple room tuning. Besides its 4 by 4 Dante channels it has one analog input and one analog output on Phoenix connectors, for a third-party amplifier, speaker or DSP. Setup is meant to be quick: connect a set of Yealink network audio devices on the same network, press the deployment button, and the audio path builds itself. Yealink Room Designer software can plan the room for you, from how many devices to buy to where they go and how audio is routed.

Questions about the Yealink AVBridge

What does the Yealink AVBridge connect?
It connects network audio and video devices in a meeting room, such as Dante ceiling microphones, network speakers and cameras, to the computer or video conferencing system that runs the meeting. The host sees them over a single USB 3.0 connection. It also has one analog input and output for other AV gear.
Which microphones does the AVBridge support?
One Dante microphone, such as the Yealink CM50, or up to four Yealink CM20 ceiling microphones. Speakers can be Yealink models or third-party Dante or analog speakers.
How is the AVBridge powered?
By Power over Ethernet, so one network cable carries both power and data. It draws 13 W at full load and 8 W idle.
What size room is it for?
Yealink positions it for medium to large meeting rooms, typically paired with CM20 or CM50 ceiling microphones. Yealink Room Designer can work out the device count and placement for a specific room.
Does it work with Microsoft Teams Rooms?
Yes, with Yealink MVC Teams Rooms systems. In that setup the whole room’s audio, including mute, is controlled from the MVC room control panel.
What is the warranty?
Telnamix warranties Yealink hardware for 3 years.
