Does the MeetingBar A50 work with Microsoft Teams Rooms or Zoom Rooms?

Both. Yealink lists the A50 as a Teams Rooms on Android device and as a Zoom Rooms appliance, and it runs either natively without a room PC. It can also connect over USB to a Teams Rooms on Windows system, where it shows up as the MVC S50.

What size room is the A50 for?

Medium to large meeting rooms. Yealink's guideline is 7 to 15 people, and the microphones pick up voices up to 10 m from the bar. For larger rooms, add extension microphones or choose the ceiling audio bundle.

Which version should I buy?

The A50-010 includes a remote; the A50-031 includes the CTP25 touch console for $700 more at MSRP. The ceiling audio bundle adds an AV Bridge processor, two CM20 ceiling mics, four CS10 ceiling speakers and a PoE+ switch to the A50-031 package.

Can the A50 drive two displays?

Yes. Connect a display to each HDMI output and turn on Dual Monitor Mode in the device settings. You can also swap which screen shows shared content.

Can I use the A50 with a Telnamix hosted or 3CX phone system?

The A50 is a video meeting device, not a desk phone, and Yealink does not list 3CX among its platforms. In BYOD mode a laptop can use it as the camera and audio for third-party apps such as Webex, but ask us to test your setup before you rely on it for calls.

About the Yealink MeetingBar A50

Bigger rooms need more reach from both the camera and the microphones. The A50 pairs a wide camera with two telephoto cameras, all 50 MP, so a speaker at the far end of the table still gets a sharp close-up. IntelliFocus shows up to 4 recent speakers in their own frames, People Counting counts who is in the room, and Video Fence keeps people outside the meeting area out of the picture. A physical shutter closes over the cameras automatically when the meeting ends.

Inside is a Qualcomm 8550 processor running Android 13 with Microsoft's Device Ecosystem Platform (MDEP). With the CTP25 touch console, one Cat5e cable from the bar powers and connects the console, one sign-in sets up the whole room, and a USB-C cable from a laptop to the console carries 4K sharing, bring-your-own-device meetings and charging. Two HDMI outputs drive two displays, and the bar accepts up to 3 extension microphones or a ceiling microphone system for the largest rooms.

The bar is the same in every version, and each includes its power adapter, wall mount bracket and cables. The A50-010 adds the VCR11 remote control. The A50-031 adds the CTP25 touch console with its PD power adapter and desktop stand for $700 more at MSRP; choose it if people will start meetings from the table or plug in laptops through the console. The ceiling audio bundle is the A50-031 package plus a Yealink AV Bridge audio processor, two CM20 ceiling microphones, four CS10 ceiling speakers and an RCH80 8-port managed PoE+ switch. It costs $5,000 more than the A50-031 and is Yealink's layout for large meeting rooms.
