Does the MeetingBar A30 work with Microsoft Teams Rooms or Zoom Rooms?

Both. Yealink certifies the A30 for Teams and Zoom, and it runs either natively without a room PC. With firmware 133.310.0.25 or later you can switch platforms by resetting the bar to factory settings and choosing Teams or Zoom during setup.

What size room is the A30 for?

Medium meeting rooms. Yealink sizes it for 10 to 15 people, and its microphones cover rooms up to 6 m. For bigger spaces it supports extension microphones such as the VCM36-W.

What is the difference between the A30-010 and A30-020?

The bar is the same. The A30-010 comes with the VCR20 remote control; the A30-020 comes with a CTP18 touch panel and its PoE power adapter instead, for $400 more at MSRP.

Can I connect external speakers or a different microphone?

Yes. External speakers connect to the line-out port. The bar supports several Yealink microphones, but only one type at a time; with more than one connected it uses the highest-priority device unless you choose one in the audio settings.

Can I use the A30 with a Telnamix hosted or 3CX phone system?

The A30 is a video meeting device for Teams and Zoom, not a phone, and Yealink does not list 3CX among its platforms. With the VCH51 sharing kit a laptop can connect by USB-C in wired BYOD mode, but ask us to test your setup before you rely on it for calls.

About the Yealink MeetingBar A30

A single wide lens works in a huddle room, but in a medium room the people at the far end of the table end up small. The A30 uses two cameras: an 8 MP wide camera that sees the whole room at 120°, and an 8 MP telephoto camera with 10x hybrid zoom that can turn to frame a speaker. Auto Framing and Speaker Tracking adjust the shot on their own, and Picture-in-Picture gives a distant speaker a close-up in a separate window while the room view stays on screen.

Everything that makes it a meeting room system is in the bar, running on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset: computer, cameras, 8 microphones, two speakers, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Setup is power plus HDMI to the display, and with two HDMI outputs it can drive two screens. On Teams, a motion sensor wakes it when people walk in, and line in, line out and extension microphone support let it grow with the room.

Which MeetingBar A30 should I buy?

The bar is the same in both bundles, each with its power adapter, wall mount bracket and cables; the suffix sets the controller. The A30-010 comes with the VCR20 remote control. The A30-020 replaces the remote with a CTP18 touch panel for the table, with its own PoE power adapter, wall mount bracket and cables, for $400 more at MSRP. If you want to add a touch console to an A30-010 later, note that the A30 works with the CTP18, not the CTP20.
