The Yealink CPE40 is an extension unit for the Yealink CP50 conference speakerphone. It adds another 8-microphone array with a 6 m pickup range and its own speaker further down the table, and it takes power and audio from the CP50 over one Ethernet cable. It does not work on its own.

About the Yealink CPE40

One speakerphone in the middle of a long table leaves the people at the ends hard to hear. The CPE40 solves that by extending a CP50: you place CPE40 units along the table, and each one picks up the voices around it and plays the far end back to them. Because every unit has a speaker as well as microphones, the volume stays even along the table.

Units connect in a chain. The first CPE40 plugs into the CP50’s audio port, and each further CPE40 plugs into the one before it, using the included 3 m Ethernet cable. The CP50 powers the whole chain. On the CP50’s standard power adapter you can add up to 3 CPE40 units, and with the optional 48 V 2 A adapter up to 7, for 8 devices in all. Each CPE40 has its own mute and volume buttons that stay in step with the meeting software.

  • Extends a CP50

Adds pickup and playback further along the table in rooms too large for one speakerphone.

  • 8 microphones, 6 m pickup

360° pickup with noise, echo and reverberation reduction, the same audio specs as the CP50.

  • Built-in speaker

A 4 W speaker in each unit, so people at the far end of the table hear clearly too.

  • Powered by the CP50

Takes power and audio from the CP50 over a single Ethernet cable. No adapter of its own.

  • Up to 7 per CP50

Three units on the CP50’s standard adapter, or seven with the optional 48 V 2 A adapter.

  • Mute and volume buttons

Physical controls on every unit that stay in sync with the meeting software.

Questions about the Yealink CPE40

Can I use the Yealink CPE40 without a CP50?
No. The CPE40 is an extension for the CP50. It has no power input of its own and no usable computer connection; it gets power and audio from the CP50 over Ethernet.
How many CPE40 units can I connect to one CP50?
Up to 3 on the power adapter that comes with the CP50, or up to 7 if you fit the optional 48 V 2 A adapter to the CP50. That makes 8 devices in total.
How do I connect it?
Run the included 3 m Ethernet cable from the CP50’s audio port to the CPE40’s codec port. To add another unit, connect the first CPE40’s audio port to the next one’s codec port.
Does the CPE40 work with a Telnamix hosted phone system or 3CX?
Through the CP50 it does. The CPE40 adds microphones and a speaker to a CP50, and a CP50 connected to a computer by USB-C works as the computer’s speakerphone for softphone and meeting apps such as 3CX.
What is the warranty?
Telnamix warranties Yealink hardware for 3 years.
