About the Yealink BH74
The BH74 has hybrid active noise cancellation, which uses microphones inside and outside the ear cups to cut the noise you hear, with an ambient sound mode for when you need to hear the room. For the other side of the call, Yealink Acoustic Shield 3.0 picks out your voice and filters the sound around you.
It weighs 152 g, with memory foam cushions on oval ear cups that rotate to follow your head, and the cushions can be replaced. Every version ships with a BT51-C dongle and a USB-C to USB-A adapter, and the headset can stay connected to your phone over Bluetooth at the same time. Yealink also lists automatic play and pause when you put the headset on or take it off, and busylights on both ear cups.
Hybrid active noise cancellation
Feedforward and feedback microphones work together to reduce the noise you hear, with an ambient sound setting when you want it back.
Clear outgoing voice
Acoustic Shield 3.0 filters noise from every direction out of your calls, and Yealink lists the BH74 as certified for Microsoft Teams Premium Open Office.
Long battery life
Up to 32 hours of talk time, up to 65 hours of music with ANC off, and up to 20 days on standby. A full charge takes up to 90 minutes.
Long wireless range
Up to 50 m (160 ft) from the dongle or phone.
Wear detection
Music pauses when you take the headset off and resumes when you put it back on.
Optional charging stand
The stand versions add the BHC74 charging stand for $14 more at MSRP.
Which BH74 should I buy?
The choice is simple. Pick the Teams edition if your company calls through Microsoft Teams; it carries the Teams certification. Pick the UC edition for any other calling app, including a Telnamix hosted or 3CX phone system. Every version has the same BT51-C dongle with a USB-C to USB-A adapter, so it fits either port. The charging stand adds only $14 at MSRP ($209 against $195), so it is worth taking if the headset lives on one desk.

Questions about the Yealink BH74
- What is the difference between the BH74 Teams and UC editions?
- The Teams edition is certified for Microsoft Teams; the UC edition is certified for other calling apps. Yealink says the BH74 works with Teams, Zoom, Google Meet and more than 100 other platforms. Choose Teams only if Teams is how your company makes calls.
- Does the Yealink BH74 work with a Telnamix hosted phone system or 3CX?
- Yes. Through its USB dongle the BH74 works as a standard headset for softphone apps on your computer, such as the 3CX desktop and web apps. For these, the UC edition is the right choice.
- How long does the BH74 battery last?
- Up to 32 hours of talk time with ANC and the busylight off, up to 65 hours of music with ANC off, and up to 20 days on standby. A full charge takes up to 90 minutes.
- How is the BH74 different from the BH70?
- The BH74 adds hybrid active noise cancellation, wear detection and a carrying case. The BH70 costs less and also comes in a one-ear Mono style, which the BH74 does not.
- Is the charging stand worth it?
- At $14 more at MSRP, usually yes, if the headset has a home desk. You can also buy the BH74 charging stand separately later.
- What is the warranty?
- Telnamix warranties Yealink hardware for 3 years.
